The full strategy pipeline

The pipeline is how a strategy goes from an idea in your head to a tested, running strategy making decisions on your behalf. Most people with a trading or DeFi idea never get past the first step: they have a hunch and no way to test it properly, so they either skip straight to risking real money or give up. ClinkAI puts the whole path in one place, in plain language, so you can test your idea before you risk capital on it.

The seven steps

  1. Idea. You describe what you want to do in plain language. “Earn yield on ETH without taking directional risk.” “Go long when funding flips negative and momentum is up.” No code, just your strategy in words.

  2. Express. ClinkAI turns your idea into a precise, testable strategy. If your idea is ambiguous or can’t be done, it tells you and suggests the closest version instead of guessing silently.

  3. Data. It pulls the real, historical data the strategy would need (prices, funding, volume, etc.), frozen so the same test gives the same answer twice.

  4. Backtest. It runs your strategy on that data with real, actual costs (fees, funding, slippage) and without using information the strategy would not have known at the time. Clean test, no cheating.

  5. Verdict. You get a straight answer: does the result hold up, or is it likely just noise? ClinkAI compares your strategy against random strategies that trade the same amount, so you know where you stand. See The verdict for how this works.

  6. Deploy. When a strategy earns the right, run it on a real venue you already trade on. Read-only preview in v1: you see the exact order it would send, but nothing is sent until you’re ready. No code, no terminal, just your strategy working.

  7. Monitor and iterate. Watch how the live strategy behaves against what the test predicted. Did it match? Change something and run it through the pipeline again.
